Plum lenten rose

Notes

'Plum' Lenten rose (Helleborus hybridus 'Plum') is a perennial for foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade. Nodding purple double flowers with lavender-edged petals and yellow stamens rise above a mound of evergreen leaves. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Plants are long-lived, so pick the spot with care.

Pairs well with Western sword fern, Snowdrop, and Liverleaf.
