Notes

'Professor Neil' iris (Iris 'Professor Neil') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and bears wine red blooms. It flowers in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Lanceleaf coreopsis, Joe-pyeweed, and Ostrich fern.
