Notes

'Purple Queen' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Purple Queen') is a bulb for borders, containers, cut flower displays, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The flowers are dark purple-red and measure 7 inches across. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates dry spells once settled in.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Society garlic, Mondo grass, and Snapdragon.
