Notes

'Red Ember' iris (Iris 'Red Ember') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows about 20 inches tall and bears dark purple-red blooms in spring and again in summer. Maveridge International B.V. bred it.

Pairs well with Blue sage, Feather reed grass, and Sum and Substance hosta.
