Notes

'Rotgold' sneezeweed (Helenium 'Rotgold') is a perennial for pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to wet soil. Its yellow and red flowers open from early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Foxtail barley, Fanal astilbe, and Limelight Prime panicle hydrangea.
