Notes

'Lemon and Lime' Japanese quince (Chaenomeles superba 'Lemon and Lime') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and draw bees, and birds also visit the shrub.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Armenian grape hyacinth, and First Knight fountain grass.
